
Dr. Matt Burr, Veterinarian/Owner
Dr. Burr graduated vet school and began working here in 2010. He worked as a Veterinary Technician for 11 years prior to attending Vet School at Michigan State University. Dr. Burr has two Corgie dogs, named "Tater" and "Tot". He purchased the veterinary clinic from Dr. Denney in November of 2020.

Dr. Carol Neal, Veterinarian
Dr. Neal works part time on Tuesday and Thursday mornings seeing routine vaccinations only. Her and her husband used to own Portage Animal Hospital. She missed being a veterinarian so much she as come out of retirement part time to help us out!

Dr. Noreen Heikes, Veterinarian
Dr. Heikes is our relief veterinarian that has been here for many years. She sees routine outpatient appointments on a fill in basis, and she also teaches full time at the Veterinarian EFE class at Vicksburg High School.

Wendy Burr, Hospital Manager
Wendy has worked here since 1997. She attended KVCC and Glen Oaks University focusing on business and accounting, and is currently taking veterinary practice management courses. Wendy has 2 cats at home and has lived in the area her whole life, growing up on a dairy farm. She keeps busy, going to car shows, metal detecting, crafting, and raising Monarch butterflies.

Cassie Lewis, LVT, Lead Technician
Cassie is one our lead licensed veterinary technician (LVT) who started here in 2016 and graduated from The MSU Veterinary Technology Program. In her spare time she enjoys working with and showing mini horses in both riding and driving disciplines, as well as volunteering as a 4-H leader in St. Joseph County.

Seira Fuller, Veterinary Technician
Seira joined our team in May 2019. She graduated from the Baker College Veterinary Technician program. Seira completed her EFE internship through Vicksburg High School Vet Science program here at the clinic back in 2016. She has two dogs, Rufus and Xerxes. She also has two cats; Peaches & Annie. Her hobbies include camping, going to the sand dunes of Lake Michigan and riding dirt bikes. She soon will be taking her board exam to become an LVT!

Alayna Neusbaum, Reception/Vet Assistant
Alayna started here in November of 2016. She started out as a veterinary assistant and was later cross trained to the front desk. She has 2 rescued dogs; Max & Simba, 2 rescued cats; Ruby & Tanzy, 6 chickens, and 1 lion head rabbit named Fluffy. She is a busy mom of two and loves spending time with her husband & children.

Morgan Wilkins, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist
Morgan started here in June 2021. She graduated from Michigan State University in 2021 with a bachelor’s in animal science, minor in agri-business management and has been accepted to MSU’s Veterinary Nursing program for fall of 2022. In her spare time she enjoys hanging out with her dog (Kujo), cat (Finn), her parents and their animals.

Heather Roble, Receptionist/Vet Assistant
Heather started here in July 2021. She graduated from Olivet College in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology. She likes to spend her free time with her four dogs. She also competes in AKC Rally with her dog, Parker .

Hannah Hull, Receptionist
Hannah was born and raised in the area and is a graduate of Vicksburg High School. She worked here previously for two years as an vet assistant, and now works as a receptionist. She lives locally and travels frequently to Slovenia.
